BEHLEN Steel Buildings BEHLEN Shortlisted for MBiz Award

BEHLEN Industries is one of the three finalists in the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce 2014 MBiz Awards in the Long Term Achievement Business – Rural category.

In the last year, we’ve reached some major milestones, including expanding internationally, developing new technology in our plant and receiving our largest ever contract from our partner, NWS Construction, to manufacture buildings for a heavy oil development in Alberta.

We were honoured to accept the 2014 Business Excellence Award from the Brandon Chamber of Commerce this spring after being nominated by Crane Steel Structures LTD and Economic Development Brandon. Being shortlisted for another achievement award is humbling and gives us confidence our efforts are paying off.

Award recipients for the MBiz Awards are evaluated on sustained growth, contribution to employment in Manitoba, employee relations and development, and community involvement. Additional consideration may be given to nominees demonstrating special achievements or overcoming unique obstacles as well.

The awards will be handed out on Wednesday, October 29 at the Victoria Inn Hotel and Convention Centre in Winnipeg.
