- Alkyd Base Primer: We use an Alkyd base primer (oil-based) for a bright interior appearance, which offers better coverage and corrosion resistance compared to water-based primers. Special coatings like epoxy and galvanizing are available for high demanding environments.
- Two-Sided Web Welds: We’re able to provide two-sided web welds (seal welding) for heavy industrial buildings. This unique offering is an ideal solution when specialty coatings are needed or hot dip galvanizing.

BEHLEN RIGID FRAME buildings can incorporate the use of Thermalguard® or Vapourguard 32® insulation systems to reduce construction waste and optimize thermal performance. Both systems are quickly installed, have almost no construction waste, and provide significant energy savings during the life of the building.
The insulation systems employ a sealed steel liner that acts as a vapor barrier while giving the interior an attractive finish and can be customized to your energy efficiency needs. R40 insulation value is possible at a lower cost than other building methods.
BEHLEN insulation systems can also be designed to optimize the performance of H.V.A.C. systems to reduce your energy bill.

Primary Framing
Primary Framing consists of all the structural elements which transfer loads to the foundations.
BEHLEN RIGID FRAME buildings are available in a variety of shapes and can be customized to meet your requirements.
- Clear Span: For maximum uninterrupted interior space.
- Multi Span: For unlimited building width with strategically placed columns.
- Mono Slope: This structural system has significant flexibility for many different types of applications.
- Lean-to: Supported on one side by either a clear span or multi span framing system.
Secondary framing
Secondary framing consists of the elements which support the roof and wall sheeting and which transfer loads to the primary framing. Secondary framing is referred to as purlins on the roof and girts on the walls.
Both of these are protected from corrosion with G-90 standard and provide a bright interior finish that will last the building’s lifetime.

BEHLEN’s RIGID FRAME roof life expectancy is 2 to 3 times longer than a conventional flat roof. The roof system is easy to install and offers attractive and economical solution.
SSR24 Standing Seam Roof System
Fabricated from Galvalume® Plus or pre-painted materials, BEHLEN SSR24 is a maintenance free, energy efficient, economical to install and built to last.
The low slope design to ¼:12 allows for the efficient removal of water, snow and ice.
AWR 36 Roof System
Behlen Industries | AWR Roof System: Most suitable for commercial steel buildings, the AWR profile is a through fastened system that offers a modern, multi-ridged face that is ideal for low slope roofs.
This profile has become a standard within the industry and is used for both roofs and wall cladding. It is available in a variety of colors or plain finishes and offers a proven economical, weather-worthy design to ½:12.
